Spawning tanks should be circular with a flat or conical-shaped bottom. Water-holding capacity may vary from 50 liters to 1.5 tons. The tank can be made of fiberglass, plexiglass, plastic or marine plywood. The tanks are used to temporarily hold the gravid females until spawning (Kungvankij et al., 1986).
